I was waiting to enter a office building for an event I was supposed to shoot. As I was waiting I was looking how the colors jumped out at me and took this picture. I've seen the Columbus Circle a million times, usually when I was on my way to shoot New York Fashion Week but I never really "looked" at is because I was always on my way to a gig. Not today. It was like a slap on the back of my neck, screaming at me to take a picture before I start my job.
I purposely wanted to tilt the picture because I the image made me. Sometimes when you peek through the view finder the image tells you what to do and you're not in control. This image said, "Tilt me to the left for a perfect picture."
So I did and I love that I listened. The colors of the venders and people perfectly line up to the silver globe creating this movement. The clouds behind allow the contrast of the building really stand out yet my eyes don't stay on the buildings too long. My eyes focus on the street lights, the speed limit sign, the lines on the street and of course the globe.
