Corner of Brooklyn Carroll Gardens
It just rained and the clouds were moving on looking for another place to share it's water. There's that moment after the rain where we have this moment of bliss and rebirth.
I was coming out of a super market (Met) and quickly took this picture. I was drawn to the clouds departing and their movement and the stillness of the brick buildings. I particularly like how the tree seems to be pushing the clouds, creating this circular eye-line from left to right.
At the bottom right there is the amazing classic ice cream shop called Farmacy that serves authentic fountain sodas and amazing food. I've eaten there many times and seen some really cool performances by these amazing singers so it's very involved with art, which is what I like. Though this image is not an advertisement for them, it is however a unique document of what makes up the neighborhood of Carroll Gardens. Or at least this one corner.
